Alley’s House empowers teen mothers and their children to achieve independence through support services, education and mentoring. This is accomplished by providing comprehensive case management services, tutoring and life skill workshops.
Every year in the United States, there are approximately 750,000 teen pregnancies. Nearly 3 in 10 girls in the U.S. get pregnant at least once before age 20. Fewer than 40% of teen moms finish high school and less than 20% earn a GED. Ensuring the success of pregnant and parenting students is critical, not only for them but also for their children, who will be more likely to eventually drop out if their parents have done so. Alley’s House is a powerful support system for teen moms to focus on their personal and professional goals as they work towards independence.
